Every household will appreciate a vicks cool mist humidifier, especially when the cold and flu season strikes, for that’s when it’s time to take this cool mist humidifier out of the closet. The vicks cool mist humidifier provides healthful vapor that helps relieve the dehydrating symptoms brought on by colds and flu, assisting your nasal passages breathe easily.

The whole family will appreciate the cool mist vapor and sweet scented air again and again as it eases the irritation of coughs and sore throats.
The vicks cool mist humidifier offers a wonderful alternative therapy for the whole family, especially children or those who prefer not to take over-the-counter medications, or during pregnancy.

This low-noise vicks cool mist humidifier, which comes in multiple colors to complement your home decor, takes preventative measures against colds by putting enough humidity in the air to combat the dryness caused by many heating systems. The humidity moistens the respiratory system and helps it to actually fight off viruses, bacteria, and pollutants.

The transparent water tank is easy to fill and monitor and outputs about 1.2 gallons of moist air into the room, enough for 18 hours of uninterrupted use on one filling.
Impurities or minerals in the water are trapped in an antibacterial wicking filter so vapor is pure and is emitted without any white dust. When the tank is empty, it totally drains without leaving any potentially bacteria-laden water in the bottom.

The vicks cool mist humidifier comes with two settings; high and low and, once you adjust the humidity level to the appropriate room size or moisture level, the Vicks’s special “evaporative technology” kicks in to ensure that rooms maintain the proper moisture level and are not overly humid.

This humidifier has a dishwasher-safe tray for hygienic cleaning and is covered by a three-year warranty.

    Love this humidifier!!!
I bought this about 3 months pregnant because I couldn’t breathe at night. I’m 5 months pregnant now and I sleep very well now.

I have purchased and thrown away at least 3 other humidifier’s prior to this one. I really like this one. The maintenance is so much easier and so far no scaly build-up like I had with the others. I love that the basin tray can go in the dishwasher. I put the filter in the sun to dry out weekly. I am very pleased with this item and haven’t experienced any of the problems others have mentioned. Very happy!!

Ask any doctor and they’ll tell you that the best way to clear stuffy noses and to breathe well at night is to run a cool mist humidifier in order to maintain a moderate level of moisture in the air. The Vicks 1.2 gallon cool mist humidifier does this quite adequately and has helped our family breathe easier this cold and flu season. The tank holds enough water to easily humidify a room for at least three nights. The low speed is extremely quiet and works best in a small to medium size room. The high speed is quite noisy and also expells substantially more humidity, which may be too much unless the room is quite sizeable. My concern about the high speed is that the room could become too moist and thus become a breeding ground for mold. Hence my deduction of one star- the humidifier would be perfect if there was a medium speed. Still, the Vicks model is very economical, has a decent reputation as a brand, and is easy to use. I highly recommend that all parents keep one or more on hand to help their children breathe better, particularly in the winter when the air tends to be drier and the heater is running. Additionally, every expectant parent should register for one. This is definitely a product that you will use again and again- for the whole family.

This humidifier is cheaper than most, especially if you buy something else from the same manufacturer (the $10 off $30 coupon helps out).

It only has two speeds, low and high. HIgh is somewhat noisy, but what you would expect. However low is whisper quiet, you can’t even really tell it’s on at all. I have a somewhat large room 17×14 or so, and it easily keeps it humid in here (I have a clock that has humidity on it, and can see the difference). As far as replacement filters, it appears as those are reasonable as well.

It doesn’t have any real features, but it works and it has worked well for me so far with no complains. Quiet, cheap, and humidifes, it’s win-win.

    “The Filter Racket”
This humidifier works ok. I found humidity level pretty low, but when left on constantly it was comparable to my last “cheapie” humidifier.

    Good, reliable product.
Easy to refill. Produces a moderate amount of moisture (not nearly as much as the ultrasonic ones can, but that’s better if you are worried about mold).

    I love it!
I love this humidifier! I had purchased and returned four others. I hated them because they were big and made a loud noise. I could not stand them.

    ehh….
Its okay. I wish I went with a filterless though. It also floods its drip pan all the time causing the filter to get soaked and therefore useless until it dries out for a day…

Very noisy, made very little difference on humidity
This humidifier is extremely noisy, and that is the only noticable difference it makes – in my experience.

no fuss no muss and it works!
It’s been a long winter with no January thaw this year, so I needed to replace my old humidifier. I read the good reviews for this one and took a chance.

    Good overall humidifier!
I did a lot of research on different humidifiers before ultimately choosing this one. I previously had an ultrasonic humidifier which was great because it didn’t have a wick…
