Hyper Dash is an intense, fast-paced electronic and kid-friendly game from Wild Planet.

The game allows children to play either indoors or outdoors, by themselves or in teams!

Drawing its inspiration from the age-old playground game of tag, as well as the infamous arcade game known as “Whack-a-Mole”, the beauty of Hyper Dash is that it challenges both body and mind with an entertaining and engaging game play.

Hyper Dash promotes listening, memory, math and coordination skills, making sure you and your kids get plenty of exercise too.

One to eight players can tackle any of four different game modes, which include memory games and math problems that require you to quickly calculate the correct answers.

Each level becomes longer and more challenging. The game is recommended for ages 6 and up, but adults will have plenty of fun as well.

The game comes standard with a hand-held, battery-operated “tagger” and five colored and numbered targets, each about the size of a hockey puck, which can be set up virtually side by side or spread out across 100 yards or more.

Place the targets farther apart for more running and exercise, or place them close together when playing indoors.

The challenge and developmental aspect of Hyper Dash is that the tagger plays prerecorded music and gives clear voice commands as to what target or targets you need to strike next, and it tracks and announces the amount of time taken to complete each course!

The tagger also keeps score and, based on the above, declares the eventual winning player or team!

This math game for kids is compact and totally portable, ensuring you can take it anywhere, including the beach, park or even Grandma’s house!

I saw this game for some time, but just didn’t think it would be fun. After seeing all the positive reviews I decided to buy it for my son’s birthday. It is a lot of fun. LeapFrog Leapster Learning Game System – Pink

The Leapster Learning Game System is a handheld electronic learning system for young kids, and is designed to look similar to a gameboy or other handheld video game toys.

The similarities end there, this baby is a great size for little hands and sturdy enough to take the beating it receives from little ones who love playing with it.

Whilst the console comes in multiple colors, our favorite was the Pink console, seen here in the pic.

The Game system comes standard with a small 4X4 inch color backlit display that is actually pretty darn sharp, and can be adjusted for light/dark so that the screen is viewable in a variety of lighting!

Game play is super simple and, before playing the pre-programmed educational games, you need to first enter in your name, which can be accomplised by pointing at the letters on the screen with the attached stylus pen and then hitting enter. You also have the option of adding a name, deleting it or playing as a guest.

The pre-programmed educational games are geared for children from preschoolers and up, and the numerous additional games, such as Finding Nemo, Spiderman, Talking Words Factory etc which you can purchase seperately, are typically labeled by their target age range and skillset (which is helpful to Mommies looking to expand their kids’ game library).
